Meet the Compost Crew: Eight Creatures, Eight Ways to Fight Dirty
Meet the eight playable creatures of Compost Mortem. Each brings its own look, a passive trait and an ability that can change the next few seconds of a fight. Pick your favourite, dig through the dirt and see what it can do.

Compost Mortem is coming to iPhone, iPad and Mac. The free game includes Earthworm, Snail and Ant; the one-time Full Game purchase adds all eight. In a local match, everyone plays with the content all human players own.
Earthworm

Meet the Earthworm, Compost Mortem’s all-rounder: extra rope reach and an ability that clears poison, shakes off snares and restores health.
Snail

Meet the Snail, the steady defender of the compost. Its shell protects its back; its ability lets it hunker down, absorb most incoming damage for a moment and release a counterwave.
Spider

Meet the Spider, a patient hunter with extra rope reach. Cast a web into the fight to catch nearby rivals in its impact and leave them slowed.
Ant

Meet the Ant, a quick colony leader. Call its ability and three short-lived helpers race along the ground, follow the terrain and hunt nearby opponents.
Dung Beetle

Meet the Dung Beetle, a sturdy bruiser with a rolling shield. Keep moving to charge its cargo, then launch a heavy compost boulder that rolls through the arena.
Wasp

Meet the Wasp, an airborne striker. Hold jump to stay aloft while its wings have lift; land to recharge. Its close-range sting also leaves a strong poison behind.
Moth

Meet the Moth, a drifting trickster. Glide as you fall, then spread a cloud of dust that hides the fight from everyone else while you can still see their silhouettes.
Mantis

Meet the Mantis, a close-range duellist. Its ready stance can parry one direct, non-explosive shot; get within reach and the ability delivers two wide slashes.
Choose your kind of trouble
Three creatures come with the free game: Earthworm, Snail and Ant. The Full Game adds Spider, Dung Beetle, Wasp, Moth and Mantis. Every match starts fresh, so pick a creature for the way you want to play that round.
